THE CLIENT

Intuit provides an ecosystem of innovative financial management solutions that serve 42 million customers in North America, Europe, Australia and Brazil. Their flagship products include QuickBooks, TurboTax and Mint. Link is the Intuit portal for tax professionals and their clients. It helps make sharing tax data fast, easy, and secure.

 

THE CHALLENGE

Awareness of Link amongst professional tax customers was still low, even though the portal was in its third tax season. Thus, Intuit wanted to create a promotion that would communicate the basics of Link and how it works, and drive professionals and their clients to register to use the portal.

 

THE SOLUTION

We partnered with Intuit to create the Link Up & Live It Up promotion.  In the promotion, tax professionals invited clients to use Link. For each invitation they earned an entry into the promotion sweepstakes for a trip to St. Thomas.  For each group of 20 client connections that were made, the tax professional received 1 instant win play for Amazon gift cards and other prizes.

There was a total of 202,249 sweepstakes entries. The average sweepstakes entry per person was 32.57. The benchmark for average entries into a sweepstakes by the promotion facilitator is 3-6. Our sweepstakes outperformed that by a mile.

The registration conversion rate was an outstanding 55% which far surpassed the benchmarks for such promotions.
